Monkeying around in the Kitchen

Last Saturday I was in the mood to bake something, so I pulled up this easy recipe I found for Monkey Bread and my girls and I went to work.

What I liked about this recipe is that I didn’t have to actually make bread. You just have to cut up some biscuits. So it honestly didn’t take that much time at all.

Now it put all of those biscuit pieces into a bag full of cinnamon and sugar! Keeping the monkeys out of the bag was difficult.

Shake it up so all those pieces get coated in sugar.
Some sugar just happneded to escape the bag. 🙂

While the girls were doing this I was making the “sauce” which is just butter and brown sugar. Then you put it in the pan, pour the sauce over the pieces of sugar coated dough and put it in the oven. I must say the kitchen started to smell totally yummy while this bread was cooking.

My little monkeys loved their creation!
